The problem is that the House bill prevents any insurance company that covers abortions from participating in the exchange. Insurance companies that want to participate will be forced to drop abortions from their covered services, which eliminates access even for women who aren't receiving federal subsidies, i.e. policyholders who pay their own premiums/receive coverage through their employers. This is a dramatic attack on access to abortion and one that wouldn't necessarily have been foreseen by pro-choice health care reformers.&lt;/p&gt;</description><dc:creator xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">tmana</dc:creator><pubDate>Mon, 09 Nov 2009 13:49:41 -0000</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
