Yeah, I definitely care. While I've got some fundamental disagreements on policy and plain ol' statements he's made over the course of 2008, the proverbial crap has hit the proverbial fan. Exactly what we don't need is even the hint of a corruption scandal dogging the new administration.

It's a broken record with me, I admit, but that's the Boomer way of politicking and I want none of it, even as I welcome Obama's presidency with a very cynical eye. There's too much to deal with to have to fight a legal and, far more importantly, media battle of some short, stupid governor in a state I used to call home.

Yeah, we care. If his integrety had been compromised it might have weakened his ability to get things done in Washington. How much, I don't know, but Obama's going to need all the muscle he can get.

Outing a CIA agent? Violating the Geneva Conventions? Failing to uphold his oath to defend and protect the Constitution of the United States?

16 million bucks for 2 years work in investment banking,

and his involvement in US-Israel relations?

Of course the GOP will continue to mention to how e was "impicated" in the scandal, just as they forever mentioned "ananswered questions" about Whitewater long after all investigators had concluded that the Clintons were innocent of any wrongdoing.

I WOULD care if talking heads had any shame. But they don't and you can bet that none of them will say they were wrong in jumping to conclusions. As a matter of fact, looking into my crystal ball Joe Scarborough will actually say this is proof that Rahm knew about Blago's pay to play scheme and now the question that has to be answered is if he told the Feds. And they will paint it as scandalous if in theory he didn't.
