While this thread was no doubt necessary, I think it's safe to say that this collection of comments is the most useless, inane, and pointless in the history of this blog. Except for the Dallas Cowboy ones.

Now, can someone please, please take pity on me (and one or two other posters I've noted) as I do not know how to do block quotes. I want to follow the rules (I really do) like everyone else and be a block quotes expert. In one or two sentences, can someone help a sista out?

It's unfortunate to have to regulate comments on a site. It's also necessary to keep out the barbarians. Speaking as a barbarian I am about as amused as Obama was with the question from the CNN reporter earlier tonight.
