T.J. is just generally old school and a hater of athletes of T.O., Randy Moss, etc, and thus a hater of the Cowboys. Boomer isn't that bad and I like John Saunders. People like Skip Brainless are a joke, and most people get that, but his still a constant voice of disdain against the 'Boys and they give him a bully pulpit to broadcast, especially after losses. But a strawhat poll, IMO, would point to a general dislike of the 'Boys. Maybe not institutional but either it comes from T.O. or Pacman or Jerry Jones but darn near everybody on ESPN seems to have some type of dislike for the 'Boys, which I'll admit, is shared by a good part of the population. Your not getting any complaints in the Philly, D.C. and New York market, I can guarantee you that.

Just avoid ESPN after losses, dude. That's all I can tell you. At least for a few days.

Re: ESPN Screws the Cowboys

Great game.

By the way, a great way to avoid the TV blowhards (at least in the DC area): Turn on Redskins Radio and click the mute button on the TV. The radio's usually a few seconds ahead, which makes for some odd timing, but you get Sonny and Sam instead of whatever dips the networks have called in.

Re: ESPN Screws the Cowboys

Damn. All we needed was a first down to ice this game. Now we leave it open for some last minute McNabbery.

The last 17 seconds could get interesting...

Re: ESPN Screws the Cowboys

Probably only of interest to me, but Kyle Orton's some kind of numerical cousin of my wife's. Her uncle's great-nephew or some such. I've never met the guy, but her uncle Dutch likes me just because when we met a few years ago he mentioned that his nephew plays for the Bears I was football obsessed enough to see the family resemblance and ask if it was Orton.

Re: ESPN Screws the Cowboys

Goodness gracious. Kyle Orton is dealing tonight but his receivers are just not catching the ball. Our defense has sacked Philly twice---if we can continue to keep the McNabbery under control and start catching the ball maybe we can win this thing.

Re: ESPN Screws the Cowboys

I don't know what they've done to Kyle Ortner, but I'm lovin it so far.

YEEEE-HAWWW!!!!

Re: ESPN Screws the Cowboys

Say what you like about Gibbs 2.0, but he did one thing none of the other intervening morons (Petitbon? Turner? Spurrier?) could do, and that's beat the Pokes. Skins have now won five of the last seven against Dallas...which means it's officially a rivalry again. Which is nice, because the 90s sucked out loud in DC.

Re: ESPN Screws the Cowboys

Lackawanna's own Ron Jaworski makes up for a lot of it.

Jason Campbell is a comer. My dislike of them has mellowed, but is still only exceeded by my distate for TO. So yeah, watching them bite the dust is something of a treat.

And I especially loathe Tom Jackson. He's a fucking blowhard and the worst of the Tom Brady kool-aid drinkers. He went on and on last week about how the NFL was irrevocabl damaged due to Brady's injury, and about how difficult it would be for the league to adjust to "life after Tom Brady". Pathetic.

Merrill Hodge is also a douche.

GO BEARS!!!!

Re: ESPN Screws the Cowboys

Sorry T-N. Hehe. HAHAHAHAHA. Called it last week. Suck it, Cowboys.

Actually, that would have been a very different game if the last two minutes had gone somewhat differently. And that last Dallas drive was a thing of workmanlike beauty. Great drive.

Re: ESPN Screws the Cowboys

BRAVES ON THE WARPATH!!!!!

FIGHT FOR OLD DC!!!!

Re: ESPN Screws the Cowboys

My Rams miss the Reverend right now. They need any help they can get. I've been up at the bar drinking black Russians and shots of Rumpleminze. Or as I like to call them on Sundays--RAMpleminze. I thought we actually had a shot today after taking the early lead. I was wrong. Linehan needs to be fired, and the Edward Jones Dome needs to be burned to the ground.

God, if you exist,(and I'm pretty sure you don't) please bless my Rams with a victory or two for the season.

Good night and good luck. I can't believe they gave my guys two night games already after the dismal record we posted last year, but it's great because this is the only I'll get to see them here in Boston. If Westbrook is out and McNabb isn't 100 percent we may able to steal this thing.

Here's hoping, anyways.

Re: ESPN Screws the Cowboys

Just wanted to stop in quick and give Curtis props on calling the KC win the other day. I like the vikings/titans (vikings win), jets/cards (cards get a big win and sink the jets season), and boys/skins (boys by 2+ TD's in a high scoring game). Steelers/Ravens on MNF could be interesting as well, although Flaco is gonna get bum rushed. I could see Pittsburgh having trouble moving the ball though, especially with the Ravens D seeking revenge after last year's 5 TD first half from Rothlis. Saints are gonna scorch the niners.

On a unrelated note - GO METS!!!
