My only regret is that the plane wasn't in the air when they got booted.

Re: Booting reporters off the plane

Frankly, I like that Obama doesn't buy into the press game. The sooner that journalists learn that all politicians will use them, the sooner we can get back to having a national press that's skeptical of everyone in the political class, and doesn't sell their credibility down the river for over-rated access.

Re: Booting reporters off the plane

Obama and his team have proven, step-by-step, that they've mastered rhetoric, organizing, fundraising, and turnout.

I read this as a sign that they also understand power. It's a sign the whole MSM is meant to see and understand, that tough coverage gets respect, but rotten reporting yields cold seats in the high bleachers.

Bookend it with the Maddow interview last night, when she tried to push him to say conservatives were the problem, and he pushed her right back with "I'm winning." He smiled right after he said it, but there weren't any starbursts coming through the screen when he did. More like ice. It was quick, but I've seen two debate handshake shots where he smiled like that, one each for Clinton and McCain.

I look forward to Pakistani military leaders and Russian power lords finding out about the ice.

Re: Booting reporters off the plane

Jozef writes: "Will we have a Ton-ton Macoute' under the Obama administration?

probably"

So says Jozef, a big fan of the Bushpigs who made torture the official policy of the US government.

Again, these people don't even know what hypocrisy is. They're too busy embodying it.

Re: Booting reporters off the plane

Will we have a Ton-ton Macoute' under the Obama administration?

probably

Re: Booting reporters off the plane

Good Riddance. I mean I am sure there is probably some truth to the idea that these reporters were removed from the plane but I can almost guarantee that Drudge's spin on this is deeply dishonest. All due respect, you should really be more skeptical.

Re: Booting reporters off the plane

I think they should offer to let these wingnut "journalists" ride on top of the plane.

Re: Booting reporters off the plane

C'mon TNC,

You're being RICK ROLLED.

This is a total drudge manufactured story. Can you even wait for the campaigns response? It was no secret that those newspapers weren't pro-Obama before their endorsements. Those reporters were only on the plane some of the time. It's the homestrech. His media people are allowed some discretion. I'm sure all sorts of newspapers don't get on the plane.

Re: Booting reporters off the plane

>> I'm glad to see they didn't kick the Fox reporter of the plane yet. Especially when you consider it's the NY Post and the Washington Times. When McCain kicks off Klien or Dowd specifically he isn't kicking out Time or the Times, he is telling them who he will allow to cover him, pretty presumptious. When Obama's plane is full and he wants to allow a different set of papers on he has to pick papers to remove so he picked some that are right wing shills.

Re: Booting reporters off the plane

i think i can live with this. i read the ny post over folks' shoulder on the train sometimes and they have been truly awful to barack so good riddance!

hello, jet & essence!!!

Re: Booting reporters off the plane

It IS awesome.
